Hoya Lens and COMiB have conducted a research study focused on the comparison of three types of Hoya ophthalmic lenses with different optical specifications. The aim was to compare clinical and patient-based measures of a standard lens and two lenses which are developed to enhance visual performances while driving. Optometric tests (e.g. photopic and mesopic visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, glare sensitivity, and photostress recovery time) were performed on 40 spectacle wearers in COMiB laboratories. Both single vision and progressive lenses were included in the study; the collected data were statistically analyzed and discussed.
