The project, promoted by COMiB of the University of Milano-Bicocca, in collaboration with institutions, associations, and companies, is aimed at economically disadvantaged people and extends beyond the boundaries of Municipality 9 to reach residents of all city neighborhoods. To date, 556 people have benefited from the service.
The beneficiaries will be identified among the adults and children involved in the activities of “QuBì. The Recipe Against Child Poverty,” a program promoted by the Fondazione Cariplo to support families with children facing poverty through a network of Third Sector organizations. The initiative also involves the technical-professional high school “G. Galilei – R. Luxemburg”, the Lions Club Milano Bramante Cinque Giornate, Centro Style, Hoya Lens Italia, Viatris Italia, and Vanni Occhiali.
The initiative’ goal is to provide a permanent and continuous optometric service to citizens in financially vulnerable situations.
