The Ottica Italiana journal dedicated a special section to the 25th anniversary of the Bachelor of Science in Optics and Optometry program. Established in 2001 at the University of Milano-Bicocca, this course was the first academic degree program of its kind in Italy.
Prof. Alessandro Borghesi, Comib’s director; Prof. Fabrizio Zeri, the first Italian optometrist appointed as an associate professor; and Prof. Silvia Tavazzi, the coordinator of the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, were interviewed.
A special session was dedicated to Vittoria Tesi and Greta Gianettoni, who were awarded the 2025-2026 “Giulio Velati” Prize.
